Baron Trenck

Baron Trencks Erb Frank Trenck was born in 1711 in Reggio in Calabria, a part of Italy. Franz received a good education from the Jesuits in Hungary and continued his studies in Vienna. By the early age of 17, he was commissioned an officer and joined the 8th regiment of the Austrian army. Before long he must leave his service in army because of his eccentricity and immoral behaviour. His military career did not start succesfully. He was a gambler, adventurer, man who cannot be stopped by anything. Once, when he was only 20, he lose in playing cards and asked his chamberlain to lend him some money. He disagreed so Frenk cutted off his head.
The war with Turkeys started in 1737 and Trenck wanted to take his chance as much as possible. His ambitious soldier spirit asked for success. He offered himself to leader Seckendroff planning a creation of four thousand men army against Turkeys. He was refused. By anonymous pamflet from 1747 he was arrested then because of some flirts with one married counttes. It was his first affair, one among many others.
